Superb food, we decided to share the mushroom fricassee for the entree which was just as well as they brought us a pre-starter in the form of a vegetable veloute. The chef came out to check everything was okay with our mains (roast pork loin with pomme purée and fish tagliatelle), I just had enough room for a dessert. I chose the coupe colonel which is a lemon sorbet doused in vodka. My new favourite desert. To finish we had a cognac and cocktail de jour. The chef came out again, we told him we were returning to the UK to see our first grandchild. He poured us 2 shots of a liqueur that they make! After paying a very reasonable price we tipped and went to leave. Just before we left the chef gave us a pop-up book of baby animals for our granddaughter. So thoughtful and generous. We will definitely return. Thank you Chez Jean for a truly wonderful evening.
