About chez Jean
Welcome to Chez Jean, established in 2016 just a stone’s throw from the Basilica of Saint Quentin.
“Cook and Restaurateur,” as he likes to define himself, Jean has always been passionate about cooking.
With a classical education from Lycée Saint Martin in Amiens, he has worked in all types of establishments: from triple-starred restaurants to bistros. But his master remains the great Auguste Escoffier.
The sauces, reductions, and stocks, combined with seasonal and local products, create a flavorful, generous, and refined cuisine that reflects the chef’s personality.
About the restaurant
Our restaurant, Chez Jean, has a history that dates back to the last century. The Bar de Lyon is one of those places rebuilt after the First World War, and its typical facade makes it part of the “Art Deco” circuit of the tourist office. It was an iconic spot during the Roaring Twenties in Saint-Quentin.
It is within these walls that Jean Caron chose to establish his restaurant “Chez Jean” in 2016. Saint Quentin, rich in historical sites and monuments, is a vibrant city. The Art Deco presence throughout the city makes it a must-visit destination for enthusiasts of this era of reconstruction.
